Ohio Man Charged With Abducting Missing Wilmington Girl: Cops
Authorities in Will County are attempting to extradite the Ohio man who traveled across state lines with the girl, court documents note.

WILMINGTON, IL — A 21-year-old Ohio man faces a Class 4 felony charge of child abduction in connection with allegations he traveled to Will County this week to pick up a 13-year-old girl from Wilmington, who got into his car and left with him. The incident happened Wednesday, Sept. 4, according to the Wilmington Police Department. The criminal complaint states that defendant Adam Boltz "intentionally lured ... a child under the age of 17 into a motor vehicle without the consent of a parent or lawful guardian ... for other than a lawful purpose."
Will County Associate Judge Domenica Osterberger has issued a bench warrant for the arrest and extradition of the 21-year-old Boltz, who hails from Kenton, Ohio. She has set his bail at $50,000, meaning he will be allowed to go free once he posts 10 percent, which is $5,000.
The 13-year-old girl was reported missing at 6 p.m. Wednesday, an hour after she was reportedly seen leaving home. Communication records were used to ID Boltz, and WESCOM staff were able to pinpoint his location as he left the state with the missing girl, police said. The missing teen was found when Ohio State Patrol officers stopped Boltz' vehicle.
