Over 30 Gunshots Fired In Joliet: Laundromat Struck By Bullets
A window at Splish Splash Laundromat and a nearby brick wall, 1220 Richards Street, were struck by the gunfire, Joliet police say.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department is investigating another daytime shooting that caused damage to a business, this time on the east side, in the business plaza in the 1200 block of Richards Street in the Sugar Creek area.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English:
At 12:37 p.m., Joliet officers found over 30 spent shells casings at the scene. Two unoccupied uninvolved vehicles that were struck by gunfire. Additionally, a window at Splish Splash Laundromat and a nearby brick wall, at 1220 Richards Street, were struck by gunfire.

"A preliminary investigation of this shooting has determined that suspects from a silver sedan exchanged numerous rounds of gunfire with suspects in a white sport utility vehicle while near the parking lot of 1220 Richards Street," English relayed. "Both vehicles fled from the area prior to the arrival of officers."
Following an extensive search for victims at the scene and the hospitals, there were no reported injuries.
