P.T. Ferro Construction Sued By Cservenyak Law Firm
The new lawsuit was filed at the Will County Courthouse by plaintiff Andrew Grossi.

JOLIET, IL - A multi-million dollar Joliet company now finds itself the defendant in a new civil lawsuit filed by attorney Frank Cservenyak of the Joliet law firm of Rathbun, Cservenyak & Kozol. The Will County Courthouse lawsuit was brought on behalf of injured motorist Andrew Grossi. The suit accuses the P.T. Ferro Construction Company of negligence during a Renwick Road construction project, from Weber Road to Route 53.
According to the lawsuit, the plaintiff was driving a 2013 Mazda 3 heading west on Renwick Road on Sept. 14, 2016. Around 9:10 a.m., he approached the intersection at Weber Road.
Meanwhile, another motorist named Kyle Klingen was driving a 2013 Chevrolet Caprice traveling north on Weber, approaching the intersection with Renwick Road, the lawsuit outlines.

At 9:12 a.m. "a violent collision occurred when Klingen's vehicle entered the intersection and attempted to cross traffic on Renwick Road, striking the front driver's side portion of Plaintiff's vehicle and spinning it off of the roadway," Cservenyak argues in his lawsuit.
The Joliet law firm contends that their client had a solid green traffic signal controlling his direction of travel and Grossi was exercising due care and caution.

The lawsuit blames P.T. Ferro for causing the crash.
"P.T. Ferro was responsible for the construction on and alongside the roadway ... P.T. Ferro had a duty to maintain the roadway in a reasonably safe condition for all motorists, including for the plaintiff," the lawsuit states. Back on March 19, 2014, P.T. Ferro had been awarded a roadway construction and resurfacing contact for Renwick, the lawsuit notes.
Rathbun, Cservenyak & Kozol identified six instances where they say P.T. Ferro's carelessness and negligence caused their client's injuries as a result of the collision.
Among the allegations raised, "P.T. Ferro failed to properly manage its construction zones thereby confusing all motorists traveling upon the roadway."
Another allegation stated, "after having started construction on the roadway, it failed to properly inspect the roadway for defects even though P.T. Ferro knew or should have known of the hazardous conditions it created on the roadway."
The lawsuit informs the Will County judicial system that Grossi became liable for large sums of money to pay for his medical treatments.
Now, Grossi "demands judgment against the defendant, P.T. Ferro Construction Co. in a dollar amount to satisfy the jurisdictional limitation of this court, the costs of this suit and such additional amounts as the jury and the court shall deem proper."
