Pancake House Reopens Just As Owners Predicted
Thursday night's roof fire did not spread into the main dining room areas or the kitchen.

JOLIET, IL — Joliet's Old-Fashioned Pancake House, now in its 35th year of serving customers breakfast and brunch, is back in business after being closed for four days following Thursday night's electrical wiring fire that damaged the south portion of the roof.
On Friday morning, the restaurant owners told Joliet Patch they were hoping to be back open either Tuesday or Wednesday. On Tuesday morning, the owners notified Patch they are back.
Pancake House is open seven days a week from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. It's in the Marycrest shopping center at 2022 West Jefferson St.
