JOLIET, IL — The Joliet City Council has given the green light for a drive-thru window at a Panda Express restaurant that intends to go near the Route 59 Walmart. The Joliet development was on the agenda for Monday night's council meeting.
According to a city memo, the Chinese restaurant chain notified Joliet's Public Works Department on March 15 of plans to construct a new restaurant and install a drive-thru at 1451 Route 59, which is one of the undeveloped parcels in front of the Walmart store.
City staff recommended approval of the drive-thru permit application.
