Plainfield Road Target Shoplifter Busted: Complaint
Joliet Police officers responded to the call last week and hauled away Amy Kutz.

JOLIET, IL - A 36-year-old woman from Joliet who is a convicted shoplifter now finds herself back in trouble with Will County's criminal justice system. Last week, Joliet's Police Department responded to the Target store on Plainfield Road to arrest Amy C. Kutz, who lives in the 2800 block of Belliau Woods Drive.
The criminal complaint states that Kutz was inside the Joliet Target store on Oct. 16 when she stole clothing "with the intention to deprive the merchant permanently of the possession of such merchandise without paying the full retail value ...."
The complaint states that Kutz is being charged with a Class 4 felony because she has a prior criminal conviction in Will County, from 2012, for the crime of retail theft.

A Will County judge set her bail at $7,500 and ordered her to stay away from all Target retail stores if she posts bond.
After spending more than 24 hours in Will County's jail, Kutz posted bond on Oct. 18 and is now free.
