Pugs Found in Joliet

Over the weekend, two pugs were found wandering in the alley behind Prairie Avenue near Moran Street in Joliet.

"We were sitting outside and (neighbors) were asking if anyone in the neighborhood had lost pugs," Jackie Kovacevich said.

The pugs are very friendly and Kovacevich said she thinks the dogs are young, but she does not think they are puppies.

"I would say they are about 25 pounds and they look fairly young," she said.

Kovancevich is the contact person for the lost dogs, although a neighbor of hers is caring for the pugs until an owner is found.
