Raid At Motel 6 Room, Joliet Cocaine Dealer Arrested: JPD
Patrick Blackmon, 51, was identified as a suspect in the delivery of cocaine throughout the past year, according to Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL —A 51-year-old Joliet man from the 400 block of Pico Street is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police narcotics officers raided the guest room of Patrick Blackmon at the Motel 6, 1850 McDonough St. on Wednesday afternoon.
Officers hauled away Blackmon in handcuffs charging him with delivery of a controlled substance, two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful use of a weapon by a convicted felon and resisting the arrest.
Blackmon was identified as a suspect in the delivery of cocaine throughout the past year, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English noted.

Wednesday's raid occurred at the Motel 6 on McDonough Street at 1:25 p.m. It's where Blackmon was staying.
Inside Blackmon's motel room, Joliet police recovered cocaine and a loaded .25 caliber handgun, English revealed. Inside the Motel 6, officers spotted Blackmon in one of the hallways.

"Blackmon was seen tossing suspected cocaine to the ground as officers approached," English stated. "Blackmon was placed into custody following a brief struggle."
Blackmon also held an active Aurora Police Department warrant for failing to appear in court on prior traffic charges. Blackmon remained in jail on Friday. His total bail now stand at $103,000.
