Raynor Ave. House Damaged, Intruder Caught With Cocaine: Cops
The crime happened around 2:30 a.m. on Friday, May 22 in the 200 block of North Raynor Avenue, Joliet police said.

JOLIET, IL — A 32-year-old Joliet man was arrested during the early morning hours of Friday, May 22, after Joliet police say he broke into someone's house in the 200 block of North Raynor Avenue and damaged their rear door and door frame.
Officers responding to the call arrested Arthur Ortiz on charges of criminal damage to property, criminal trespass to property and possession of a controlled substance.
Joliet police were summoned to North Raynor Avenue for a disturbance around 2:35 a.m. Friday.

"Ortiz was located inside the residence, which he did not have permission to be in, and placed him into custody without issue," police reports show.
According to Joliet police, Ortiz claimed that several people he did not know were chasing him through the neighborhood, "but a check of the area by officers had negative results."

Officers took Ortiz to the downtown Joliet Police Station for booking procedures and "during booking procedures officers located two bags of cocaine in Ortiz’s possession," police reports show.
Ortiz, who lives in the 400 block of Joliet's Douglas Street, remained in the Will County Jail on Memorial Day. He remains unable to post 10 percent of his $15,000 bail, jail logs show.
