Registration Open for Sunshine and Rainbows Learning Center

The Joliet Park District’s Sunshine and Rainbows Learning Center is now accepting registration for its 2016-17 season.

Sunshine & Rainbows Learning Center, located at the Multi-Purpose Center at 3000 W. Jefferson St., provides children ages 2-5 an opportunity to experience learning through safe, happy and stimulating educational experiences, according to a press release from the park district.

Activities include free play, movement, games, creative art, music, math and science

A typical day at Sunshine & Rainbows Learning Center:

• Children arrive at Sunshine and Rainbows Learning Center
• Together Time: welcome song, language, show & tell and instruction for the day
• Free Play/Creative Art: Creative art materials are available for children’s use.
• Clean-up: Children share the responsibility of putting the toys and materials back in their proper places.
• Story Time
• Computers
• Laptops & iPads
• Music
• Physical education
• Word time
• Handwriting without tears
• Circle Time: concepts, finger plays, games and songs.
