Repeat Drunk Driver Arrested By Joliet Police: Cops

Joliet police say improper lane usage along South Chicago Street was the reason why 53-year-old resident Andre Hill got pulled over.

JOLIET, IL — A 53-year-old Joliet man from the 100 block of Oscar Avenue is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say the repeat drunk driver was arrested once again, this time around 1:45 a.m. Saturday on the city's southeast side.

During the overnight traffic stop, officers hauled away Andre Hill in handcuffs, charging him with aggravated DUI, DUI and aggravated driving while license revoked.

On Monday, a Will County judge set bail at $250,000 for Hill, and he remained incarcerated late into the evening, unable to post the necessary 10 percent bond.

Hill's arrest happened near South Chicago Street and Patterson Road. He was pulled over for improper lane usage while driving a Honda Ridgeline, police noted.

"Hill exhibited behaviors consistent with alcohol impairment," police spokesman Dwayne English announced.

He said that Hill stepped outside the Honda and agreed to conduct field sobriety tests.

"Hill did poorly on the field sobriety tests and was placed into custody without incident," English indicated.

Hill had a revoked driver’s license for previous DUI arrests. Hill's vehicle was towed from the scene, Joliet police reports show.
