Riding Your E-Bike To Joliet West, Joliet Central HS This Semester? District 204 Has Stern Message For You

JOLIET, IL — Families and Students: As electric bikes (e-bikes) become increasingly popular among students, we would like to remind families about the importance of safe and responsible riding to and from school.

Students who ride e-bikes should follow all traffic laws, ride responsibly, and wear a properly fitted helmet. We encourage families to discuss safe riding practices with their children, as e-bikes can travel at speeds significantly faster than traditional bicycles.

Please note that all bicycles and e-bikes must be secured with a lock at the designated bike racks during the school day. For safety and security reasons, bicycles and e-bikes are not permitted inside the school building at any time. Students driving e-bikes recklessly on campus may be subject to discipline aligned to negligent driving in the Student Handbook.
