Robbery At Western Food Mart, Joliet Police Arrest Woman, 31
Raven Green, 31, got arrested by Joliet police on charges of robbery following Thursday night's crime inside the Western Food Mart.

JOLIET, IL — Shortly before midnight, a 31-year-old Joliet woman patronizing the Western Food Mart punched and robbed a 51-year-old customer of her cell phone, and then ran away, according to Joliet police. After the crime, Joliet police found Raven Green back at her residence, in the 300 block of North Bluff Street, and she was hauled away in handcuffs.
Her bail will be set by a Will County judge sometime Friday.
Around 1 a.m. Friday, Raven Green was booked into the Will County Jail on robbery charges.

The crime inside the small convenience store at 308 Western Ave. happened around 11:15 p.m. Thursday.
"The victim was inside the store seated on an electric disability scooter," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced. "An adult female later identified as Green entered the store and began yelling at the victim. Green slapped the victim’s head and then grabbed the victim’s cell phone from her hand."

Green then punched the woman in the head after the victim tried to get her phone back, English said. After Green ran away from the scene of the crime, officers checked the area and located Green in the 300 block of North Bluff Street, English said.
The victim’s phone was recovered in the parking lot of the store, according to Joliet police.
