Mass Murder Suspect's Girlfriend Faces New Charges
Kyleigh Cleveland, 21, was present during at least two of the murders of Romeo Nance's family, a source told Joliet Patch in January.

JOLIET, IL — On Thursday, a Will County grand jury returned an indictment against the 21-year-old girlfriend of dead Joliet mass murder suspect Romeo Nance. Kyleigh Cleveland, who lived at one of the houses in the 2200 block of West Acres Road where the seven family murders happened, is now facing three felony charges of obstruction of justice.
The indictment indicates that Kyleigh Cleveland "furnished false information to the Joliet Police Department Detective Stephen Boe" by pretending "that she did not know the phone number of Romeo Nance" on Jan 22.
In addition to that, Cleveland provided more false information to Detective Boe, in "that she last spoke to Romeo Nance at the gym," the indictment reads.

The third count of her indictment informed the judge that Cleveland "concealed physical evidence, her cellular phone," with the intent to prevent the apprehension of Romeo Nance.
As for Cleveland, she was placed on home confinement in late January, following her arrest by Joliet police, and she must stay inside her house at all times, except for medical reasons and for court appearances, according to her electronic monitoring order.

According to the Minor-Morris Funeral Home in Joliet, the Nance-Esters family funeral services will take place on Saturday at Victory City Church, 1741 Essington Road.
Found dead at the West Acres homes were Nance's mother, 47-year-old Tameka Nance; brother Joshua Nance, 31; aunt Christine Esters, 38, uncle William Esters, 35; and sisters Alexandria Nance, 20; Alonnah Nance, 16, and Angel Nance, 14.
Romeo Nance was also suspected in the random killing of 28-year-old Toyosi Bakare.
