JOLIET, IL — Normally open 24 hours a day, the Walmart store on Route 59 in Joliet announced on Saturday it is changing its regular hours of operation effective today.

The company informed customers on its Facebook page that the Route 59 Walmart, which is commonly called the Shorewood Walmart, will be closing at 10 p.m. and re-opening at 6 a.m.

A couple people who reacted to the news on social media praised Walmart for making this decision.
