Route 59 Walmart Nintendo Thieves Charged: JPD
The two-month Joliet Police investigation resulted in a pair of recent arrests.
JOLIET, IL — Two young men from Chicago are now facing criminal charges in Will County after Joliet Police say the pair were involved in the theft of several Nintendo video games at the Route 59 Walmart in early October. After several weeks of criminal investigation, authorities in Will County recently captured Keandre White, 22, and Stanley Bradford, 26. Both men are now charged with retail theft and criminal damage to property.
The criminal complaint states that Bradford and White, on Oct. 8, knowingly took possession of merchandise offered for sale at the Route 59 Walmart, being Nintendo video games, and the full value of the merchandise the pair are accused of stealing is worth more than $300.
The second charge indicates Bradford and White knowingly damaged a display case at the Route 59 Walmart, but the damage to the display case did not exceed $500.
