Route 6 Construction Marks $5.4 Million Project For Joliet

Dozens of pieces of heavy construction equipment are busy along Route 6 in Joliet. They're in the early stages of building a truck terminal.

JOLIET, IL — The new construction along Route 6 across the road from the entrance into the Hollywood Casino is a truck terminal project. The estimated construction cost is more than $5.4 million, according to Joliet's October building permit report.

ARCO/Murray is constructing the 116,000-square-foot truck terminal building at 2901 Channahon Road, otherwise known as U.S. Route 6.

City of Joliet building permits estimate the Route 6 construction cost at $5,438,588.
