Scholarship Fundraiser Golf Outing at Cog Hill

Annual Fundraiser to support area scholarship recipients and community programming

Matteson, Ill., May 1, 2016 — JASSAC Charitable Foundation, Inc. and Joliet Area/South Suburban Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. present their 4th Annual DSTee Time Golf Tournament.

The golf tournament will take place Friday, May 27, 2016 with an 8 AM registration, 9 AM shotgun start at the Cog Hill Golf & Country Club, 12294 Archer Avenue, Lemont, IL 60439. Cog Hill has served as a host course of PGA Tour and USGA Amateur Championships and its DUBSDREAD course is ranked No. 1 on Golfweek’s list of “Best Courses You Can Play” in Illinois.

Proceeds will fund their annual scholarship program that supports local area college-bound students to achieve their educational goals and support community programming activities in South Suburban Cook and Will Counties of Illinois.

“We are truly excited to hold our fourth annual golf outing at Cog Hill. Our event continues to be a huge success. We look forward to raising money for community programs and scholarships as we support key principles of our sorority, Delta Sigma Theta,’ said Kim Rowe-Barney, President, Joliet-Area South Suburban Alumnae Chapter, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

“Our annual golf outing has become a premier event in the community. With 3 successful golf outings under our belt, we are excited to make this year’s event the biggest one yet,’ said Aisha Barnes, Chair of the event.
