Semi Veers Off I-55 Near Shorewood: WJOL

SHOREWOOD, IL - Joliet's news radio station is reporting a semi-trailer went off Interstate 55 Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic to be tied up. The wreck is along the southbound stretch of I-55 and Route 59, near Shorewood. A semi drove off the shoulder and up an embankment, WJOL reports.

The incident has caused the right lane of traffic to be blocked as Illinois State Police are now at the scene investigating.
