"Amanda stated an argument started over money and the house and was holding OP papers, stating she had an (order of protection) against (the victim)," prosecutors said. The officers saw a minor yellowish bruise to her right eye, but Hill would not elaborate how she got the injury, court documents indicate.
"Amanda stated she threw the glass coin jar at (him) after he hit her," prosecutors informed Judge Safford.
Joliet police also interviewed a child, who indicated she was in her bedroom and heard a disturbance. When she exited her bedroom, she saw the victim bleeding from his leg, so she called 911 even though Hill told her not to call 911, court records reflect.
At the hospital, the victim told Joliet police that Hill "has been off her medications and acting up the past couple of months," prosecutors outlined. "He stated he was unsure what caused her outburst, but he went to his room to get away from her. Amanda then opened the door and he stepped out. Amanda threw the glass jar at him, and he immediately noticed his leg bleeding and started to apply pressure."
Prosecutors drew attention to the fact that the victim "had a severe laceration on his left knee where you could see the bone and a second laceration to one of his fingers. Doctors stated he may have mobility issues."
