Man, 23, Shot At Shell Station On Cass Street

JOLIET, IL — A 23-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound while sitting inside a vehicle at the Shell gas station on Cass Street, according to Joliet Fire Chief Greg Blaskey.

The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. Blaskey said the victim was conscious and alert. He was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in good condition.

Around 9 p.m., Joliet officers had crime-scene tape stretched across the east-side gas station.

Joliet's Bob Hernandez went to the crime scene to post one of his Facebook Live videos. Hernandez said that police told him one shooting victim was taken to the hospital.
