Man, 23, Shot At Shell Station On Cass Street

JOLIET, IL — A 23-year-old man suffered a gunshot wound while sitting inside a vehicle at the Shell gas station on Cass Street, according to Joliet Fire Chief Greg Blaskey.

The shooting happened around 8:15 p.m. Blaskey said the victim was conscious and alert. He was taken to Silver Cross Hospital in good condition.

Around 9 p.m., Joliet officers had crime-scene tape stretched across the east-side gas station.
