Shorewood Machete Incident At Imperial Mobile Home Park Lands This Man In Handcuffs: Police

SHOREWOOD, IL — Strange and crazy things often happen at Shorewood's Imperial Mobile Home Park off East Jefferson Street behind the Burger King. Last weekend, Shorewood police arrested a man who does not even live there after he showed up at the trailer park holding his machete, the arrest report showed.

The incident happened at 7:27 p.m. last Saturday at 106 East Jefferson Street. Miguel Ruiz Carrasco, age 45, of 600 Vertin Blvd. in Shorewood was arrested on charges of unlawful use of a weapon and battery.

According to the agency, Shorewood's police officers were dispatched to 106 East Jefferson in reference to a disturbance. The officers saw Ruiz Carrasco wielding a machete in his right hand. Ruiz Carrasco placed the machete inside of his vehicle. The officers ordered Ruiz Carrasco to the rear of his vehicle and placed him in handcuffs and placed under arrest
for unlawful use of a weapon and battery.

The Shorewood resident was later released with court information.
