Shorewood Man With Cocaine Faces Felony DUI Charges: Joliet Police
Joseph Porcaro, 33, of Shorewood was unable to provide identification and refused to identify himself, according to Joliet police reports.

JOLIET, IL — A Shorewood man arrested on felony drunken driving charges over the weekend by Joliet police had cocaine in his pockets and he tried to injure two officers at the downtown station during the booking process, police reports show.
Bail was set at $30,000 for Joseph Porcaro who lives in the 300 block of Louisa Street, according to his Will County Jail logs.
Porcaro, 33, faces criminal charges of aggravated DUI, DUI— Alcohol, DUI—Drugs, DUI—combination of drugs and alcohol, two counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer, two counts of aggravated assault, three counts of obstructing a peace officer, obstructing justice, speeding, disobeying a traffic control device and unlawful possession of marijuana by a driver.

Around 9:45 p.m. on Saturday, a Joliet police officer driving west on Jefferson Street saw the Shorewood man's Ford 250 speeding south on Larkin Avenue and blowing through the red light, nearly crashing into the Joliet police car, authorities said.
When Porcaro eventually pulled over near Meadow and South Larkin Avenues, Porcaro did not have any identification, and he refused to identify himself, police noted.

"Upon search of Porcaro, officers recovered suspected cocaine from his pocket. Officers recovered cannabis upon search of Porcaro’s vehicle," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English indicated.
At the downtown police station, Porcaro kicked two officers and threw a plastic urinal at them, English said.
"Porcaro was secured, however, he continued to be verbally belligerent with officers. Porcaro refused to cooperate with booking procedures and was eventually taken to the Will County Adult Detention Facility," English announced.
Porcaro was booked into the county jail around 3:10 a.m. on Sunday and by 4:20 p.m. he was released after posting the necessary 10 percent bond.
