SHOREWOOD, IL - Detectives at the Shorewood Police Department are being extremely tight-lipped surrounding the death of a young man whose body was found last week in one of the city's subdivisions.
Wednesday marked the first occasion that Shorewood police issued a news release surrounding the mysterious death. According to a news release issued by Deputy Police Chief Jason Barten, police officers in Shorewood learned that a body of a man in his 20s was discovered around 4:45 a.m. last Friday.
According to Shorewood police, officers responded to a welfare check for a man who appeared to have fallen off his bicycle along the parkway in the 800 block of Diamond Head Drive West. Emergency medical units from Troy also responded to the scene, determining the man was dead.
