Small Cakes Doesn't Make It In Joliet: Closing Is Permanent

JOLIET, IL — On Monday morning, Joliet's one and only Small Cakes dessert store, located near the Walmart on West Jefferson Street, announced on Facebook that it is through. There will be no more Small Cakes locations in Joliet.

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce that Smallcakes of Joliet is permanently closed for business," the Facebook notice read. "We want to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of our customers for your support over the last two years ... please continue to support your local small businesses as they truly are the backbone of our economy and community."
