Southbound I-55 Semi Crash Spills Water Bottles, Soybeans: Reports
One of the semis involved in Wednesday's early morning wreck was transporting about 80,000 pounds of soybeans, WJOL reported.

JOLIET, IL —An overnight crash involving two semis caused major disruption for Joliet area motorists on Wednesday morning.
WJOL's AM-1340 reported that southbound I-55 was closed at I-80 because of the huge crash. One semi was transporting 50,000 pounds of water bottles and the other had 80,000 pounds of soy beans when the wreck happened along the southbound stretch of I-55.
Chicago's WGN Channel 9 reported that one of the semis was parked on the shoulder when the other crashed into it. The water bottles and beans spilled all over the roadway, WGN noted.

One of the drivers was taken to the hospital and that stretch of I-55 was expected to remain closed until around lunchtime, according to WGN.
