Spencer Road Railroad Crossing in Joliet to Close Sept. 22
The repair work will go through Sept. 24. A detour route will be posted.
The Canadian National (CN) Railroad will be completing repairs to the Spencer Road railroad crossing (located between Route 52 and Briggs Street), beginning Tuesday, Sept. 22 and going through Thursday, Sept. 24. The road will be completely closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic for the duration of the work.
A detour route utilizing Route 52, Rowell Avenue, Mills Road, and Briggs Street will be posted. Drivers are advised to exercise caution and seek alternate routes when traveling in the area.
