Joliet Toys R Us Now Spirit Halloween Seasonal Store

JOLIET, IL - The Toys R Us near the Louis Joliet Mall, like all Toys R Us stores, bit the dust several months ago. But the Joliet store is not vacant. Not at all. This store is haunted. On Thursday morning, Joliet Patch ventured inside the newly opened Spirit Halloween location.

Spirit Halloween just opened here on Tuesday. On Thursday morning, there were at least a dozen different customers shopping inside the store. Imagine what this place will be like on the weekends.

In any event, Spirit Halloween plans to remain open here until Nov. 1.

The old Toys R Us storefront is considered the biggest Spirit Halloween store in the region, a store manager told Joliet Patch. Located near I-55 and Plainfield Road, the Halloween-themed store hopes to attract its primary customer base from Joliet, Plainfield, Shorewood, Crest Hill, Lockport and Romeoville.

If you've never visited Spirit Halloween, you're in for a treat. It's spooky.

At the old Toys R Us store, Spirit Halloween's business hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday. It's also open 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sundays.
