St. Pat's Area Shooting Victim Fights For His Life

Joliet police are investigating a Wednesday afternoon shooting on Hunter Avenue, a street that has had a lot of violence over the years.

JOLIET, IL — On Wednesday afternoon, Joliet police officers converged on the 200 block of Hunter Avenue for a shooting. The 43-year-old gunshot victim was taken to St. Joe's hospital and the man is in serious condition now, Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced Wednesday night.

Joliet police were notified of the shooting at 3:52 p.m.

Officers and detectives conducted an extensive canvas of the scene and surrounding area, English said. No arrests have been made as of 10 p.m.
