Statesville Haunted House Is Closing After 25 Years Of Scares
One of the most popular haunted house attractions in the Chicagoland is marking its final year at Siegel's Cottonwood Farm.

CREST HILL, IL — The Statesville Haunted Prison will be open during the month of October at the Siegel's Cottonwood Farm, but this is the end of its run. Promoters notified Joliet Patch on Monday morning that after 25 years, "the most critically acclaimed haunted house in Chicagoland history is celebrating its final year at Siegel's Cottonwood Farm."
"For the Final Fear, Zombie Army Productions is bringing 30 rooms of horrifying creatures and convicts to make Chicagoland scream ... We love our fans and it’s their support over the years that helped us run this Monster, so we’ll be offering HALF OFF tickets AND Twice the Terror combo tickets: 2 of the nation's top ranked haunted houses for ONE LOW PRICE! All offers on our social media."
According to promoters, Statesville will be open Thursday through Sunday starting Oct. 1 and ending on Halloween. It stays open from 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday and Sunday and from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
