Stepbrother Punched In Head During Violent Attack: Joliet Police

Monday morning's attack happened at a residence in the 2100 block of Winding Lakes Drive, Joliet police announced.

JOLIET, IL — A 32-year-old man who lives in the Plainfield area of Joliet is now in Will County's Jail after Joliet police say Ronald Hauhe violently attacked his adult stepbrother on Monday morning, choking the man and repeatedly punching him in the head.

"When the victim attempted to contact 911, Hauhe began to choke him again to prevent him from making the call," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced.

Hauhe got away before Joliet police cars arrived to the domestic in the 2100 block of Winding Lakes Drive, which is where Hauhe lives. The incident happened around 10:50 a.m.

By 2 p.m. Hauhe turned himself into the Joliet police substation on Caton Farm Road. From there, officers drove him to the Will County Jail, where he's charged with aggravated domestic battery and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
