Stolen Bag With 2 Guns And Ammunition Leads To Joliet Police Arrest
On March 28, Joliet police responded to a residence in the 500 block of Dover Street for a report of theft. Now, Keenan Woods is in custody.

JOLIET, IL — For the second time this year, Keenen Woods, a 20-year-ol Joliet citizen listing his address as Indianapolis, was taken away by Joliet police, the latest arrest involving the theft of two guns and ammunition from a house in the 500 block of Dover Street.
Although the crime happened on March 28, Joliet police located Woods over the weekend.
Now, he's in the Will County Jail with a steep bail, $200,000. He's charged with two counts of possessing a stolen gun, two counts of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, one burglary and one theft.

Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the following events led to Woods' capture:
- Around 3 p.m. on March 28, Joliet squad cars pulled up to the house on Dover to investigate a theft.
- The victim told police that had a bag containing two handguns and ammunition was stolen by a male suspect.
- The victim was preparing to leave for a gun range when he was approached by a male suspect, who took the bag and rode off in a vehicle.
- During their investigation of the theft, detectives identified the suspect as Woods.
- On April 1, an arrest warrant was obtained for Woods, who lives in Joliet, and has identification indicating he's an Indianapolis resident, according to Will County Jail logs.
Around 3 a.m., Saturday, while most of Joliet was sleeping, the overnight shift of the Joliet police force encountered Woods during a traffic stop, and he was taken away in handcuffs.

Woods was in the Will County Jail for three days in February, on Joliet police charges of vehicle theft and obstruction of justice.
In that case, the Joliet 20-year-old was freed after posting 10 percent of his $5,000 bail.
