A short time later, police found the SUV in the driveway of a house in the 2200 block of Beechwood Road, with two men standing near the vehicle. When police approached them, Young ran off; he was taken into custody following a brief chase, police reports show.
Officers then recovered a loaded .45 caliber gun from under Young's driver’s seat, authorities said.
"It was determined that the handgun had been previously reported stolen," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English noted.
