JOLIET, IL — One of the challenges of being a Joliet police officer is the fact that the criminal element often drifts into the city from communities far, far away.

Over the weekend, Joliet police made such an arrest capturing 40-year-old Chicagoan Samuel Vazzana on charges of possessing a stolen motor vehicle.

According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 9:07 a.m. on Saturday, the officers were notified by the Illinois State Police that a stolen U-Haul truck was believed to be traveling in the area.
