Support Nonprofits during COVID-19 Crisis
Urge Senators Durbin and Duckworth and Rep. Underwood to support relief for charities in the next stimulus package.

As a volunteer advocate, the Alzheimer’s Association is important to me and my family because we have suffered through the loss of our loved one. I lost my Grandmother Lucille to Alzheimer’s in 2009 and since then it has been my mission to increase research and funding to stop this terrible disease. Working in the healthcare industry, I see many elderly patients who suffer from this disease, and I can testify that the educational and support services that Alzheimer Association provides are detrimental to all families impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.
With that being said, I understand many nonprofit organizations, including the Alzheimer’s Association, have been severely financially impacted due to the COVID-19 pandemic and have not been included in a relief package by the federal government. Therefore, I am asking that my Senators, Dick Durbin and Tammy Duckworth, and Representative Lauren Underwood to expand nonprofit access to credit to support nonprofit employers with between 500 and 10,000 employees in the next COVID-19 relief package. I could never imagine another family having to face challenges due to Alzheimer’s or a related dementia without having the support, programs and resources of the Alzheimer’s Association, like my family is has leaned on.
To continue our fight to End Alzheimer’s, our nation’s most expensive and devastating disease, please join me in encouraging Senators Durbin and Duckworth and Congresswoman Underwood to consider the millions of Illinois families that depend on nonprofits like the Alzheimer’s Association.
