SUV Stolen, Joliet Man Faces Different Charges: JPD
While Kenneth Harvey, 30, was being processed at the Joliet Police Department, he grew angry and shoved an officer, police announced.

JOLIET, IL — A 30-year-old Joliet man remains in the Will County Jail after Joliet police responded to a stolen vehicle incident in downtown Joliet this week. The crime happened in the 100 block of North Ottawa Street around 8:25 p.m. Wednesday. Now, Kenneth Harvey II faces a $15,000 bail on charges of criminal trespass to a vehicle and aggravated battery to a police officer.
According to Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English:
- The victim had left their Dodge Journey parked near Ottawa Street and Clinton Street and returned approximately 15 minutes later to find the vehicle missing.
- At that time, the victim discovered the sports utility vehicle was in the 300 block of Whiteside Drive after using a phone application to locate the vehicle.
- Joliet police went to that area and found Harvey inside, and he was placed into custody without any problems.
- The victim said they did not know Harvey, who comes from the 1900 block of Carousel Court.
Later, at the Joliet Police Department, Harvey grew angry and shoved an officer.
