Discover what – and who – built the fourth largest city in Illinois during a “Joliet Iron Works Tour” scheduled for 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 21. The 1.25-mile guided tour takes place at the Forest Preserve District of Will County’s Joliet Iron Works Historic Site, located on Columbia Street, east of Scott Street. View the ruins of this former iron and steel production site and hear stories of the people who worked there. Registration is required for the free, all-ages program; call 815-886-1467.
