Taste of Joliet 2023: Train Is Rolling Into Town

Joliet's Park District revealed it has booked the main Friday night entertainment. Sugar Ray and Collective Soul played last year.

JOLIET, IL — If you were holding out hope that the Joliet Park District would land Train, the pop rock band from San Francisco, to play at this summer's Taste of Joliet, you're going to be smiling for a long time.

With more than 10 million albums & 30 million tracks sold, five platinum albums, and three Grammys, Train will take the stage Friday, June 23 at Joliet's Memorial Stadium, the Joliet Park District posted on Facebook.

Brad Staab of the Joliet Park District told Patch that Train has 12 top #10 songs, including “Meet Virginia,” “Drops of Jupiter,” “Calling All Angels,” “Hey Soul Sister,” “Drive By,” “50 Ways to Say Goodbye,” “Marry Me” and “Play That Song.”

2023 marks the 16th year for the Taste of Joliet, which will be held Friday, June 23—Sunday, June 25th at Busey Bank Field at Joliet Memorial Stadium. Tickets are available at www.tasteofjoliet.com.
