Tepa Landscaping Faces Wrongful Death Suit In Motorcycle Fatality
The Joliet landscaping business is named as a defendant in connection with a May 23 fatal wreck on Parker Road.

JOLIET, IL — The family of a 21-year-old Homer Glen motorcycle rider has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Joliet's Tepa Landscaping on Briggs Street along with one of its employees who was involved in the crash. The Will County lawsuit was filed by the crash victim's mother, Lisa Marie Farbo, against Tepa Landscaping and Jose Padilla-Juarez.
Pullano Law Offices, a personal injury law firm on Chicago's Wacker Drive is representing the plaintiff.
On May 23, Joseph Farbo was on his motorcycle north along Parker Road in Homer Glen and at 9:45 a.m. Padilla-Juarez was driving a 2019 Ford truck owned by Tepa Landscaping, according to court documents. The Tepa Landscaping employee was driving west on the access road near the intersection with Parker Road, court documents show.

According to the plaintiffs, Farbo's motorcycle came into contact with the Ford truck operated by Padilla-Juarez, who was acting in the scope of his employment. The lawsuit indicates that Farbo died from the crash and the lawsuit accuses Tepa Landscaping's employee of negligence.
The employee was operating the truck without an Illinois driver's license; he failed to stop and yield the right of way to Farbo's approaching motorcycle and he failed to keep a proper and sufficient lookout, the plaintiff's argued.

The lawsuit indicates that Joseph Farbo was survived by his mother Lisa Marie Farbo, his father Anthony John Farbo, sisters Demi Vosatka, Taylor Farbo, along with brothers Anthony Joseph Farbo and Salvatore Farbo and half-brothers Michael Kendall and William Kendall.
"As a proximate result of the foregoing conditions, the survivors of Joseph James Farbo ... have sustained substantial pecuniary loss, including the loss of his society, companionship, services, support, grief and sorrow, and expenses for funeral and burial," states the lawyers with Pullano Law Offices.
