Thayer's Deli-Thirty Buck Building Coming Back To Life After Magpie's Joy Of Eating Failure
The Joliet City Council will vote on the new liquor license at Tuesday night's meeting.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet City Council will review plans to open a new bar and restaurant at the empty building most recently used as the Magpie's Joy of Eating. Before that, this was known as Thayer Brothers Deli and Thirty Buck tavern.
According to Tuesday's Joliet Council agenda, someone doing business as Six Corners Tavern plans to take over 753 Ruby Street and 753 1/2 Ruby Street.
The Council memo stated that "the subject business is a new restaurant and bar within an existing commercial building on the north side of Ruby Street between Raynor Avenue and Kelly Avenue. The tenant spaces previously contained a restaurant and a bar. The property is zoned neighborhood business, which permits restaurants, bars and taverns and the on-premises consumption of and the sale of liquor."
