Overnight Criminals Hit Businesses In Crest Hill, Channahon And Joliet: Police

CREST HILL — During the wee hours of Tuesday morning, a team of criminals broke into several businesses in Crest Hill, Channahon and Joliet, authorities revealed.

The Crest Hill Police Department announced on Facebook that its officers responded to the Hill Crest Shopping Center at around 5 a.m. for a burglary. The officers discovered that Stella's Place had been entered by force, and cash was taken from the business.

According to Crest Hill officials, the burglars wore dark clothing, wearing face coverings and gloves. The getaway vehicle has been described as a grey in color Dodge Charger.

"This incident is believed to be tied to incidents in Channahon, Joliet and possibly several others," the Crest Hill police shared on Facebook. "Please review the video and photographs attached. WJOL AM-1340 radio station reported that the thieves broke into the Natabratas Cafe along Route 6 in Channahon Tuesday at 4:45 a.m. "Thankfully nothing was stolen and no one was hurt. We’re open for business as usual," representatives of Natabratas Cafe responded on Facebook.
