Tire Squealing On Jefferson, Loaded Gun, Pills Seized: JPD
Joliet police say they saw marijuana and open alcohol containers inside the car driven by Brandon Cline, 24, and passenger Aldo Reyes, 23.

JOLIET, IL — On Sunday night, two young men were driving in the 900 block of Jefferson Street, squealing their tires, and that led to a gun and drug arrest, according to Joliet police.
Aldo Reyes, 23, who comes from the 1100 block of North Raynor, was hauled away in handcuffs and booked into the Will County Jail on charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, two counts of delivery of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of ammunition, unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, unlawful possession of marijuana by a passenger and illegal transportation of alcohol.
Joliet police made the traffic stop of 24-year-old Brandon Cline's Chevrolet Impala around 11:50 p.m. because Cline was squealing the tires while heading eastbound on Jefferson, according to police reports.

The officers making the traffic stop saw that Cline and his passenger, Reyes, had cannabis and open alcohol inside their car, so they were ordered to exit the vehicle, police noted.
While searching Reyes, police recovered a loaded 9 mm gun from his waistband and a large amount of various prescription pills, police announced. Reyes was placed into custody without incident.

Officers say they also recovered marijuana during the vehicle search.
Cline was issued citations for unlawful possession of cannabis by the driver, squealing tires and improper lane usage and while he was released at the scene, Joliet police had his vehicle towed away from Jefferson Street.
As for Reyes, he got out of the Will County Jail on Monday night after posting 10 percent of his $30,000 bail.
