Tree Lands On Troy School Bus: District 30-C Issues Statement Explaining What Happened

JOLIET, IL — On Friday morning, due to high winds, a broken tree landed upon one of Troy's school buses along Bronk Road, which is near Black Road.

The Troy 30-C school district issued a statement sent to the parents explaining that "while a bus was in transit back to the bus barn, a tree fell and made contact with the vehicle. We want to inform our community that no students were on the bus at the time of the incident. The driver sustained minor injuries and was treated by emergency personnel While the bus sustained damage, we are incredibly grateful that this accident occurred without students on board."
