Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English said the events leading to the triple arrest happened this way:
At 3:10 a.m. on Tuesday, Joliet officers recognized Blankenship driving and knew he had an active Will County arrest warrant. Blankenship was stopped in the 400 block of Western, he exited the car and was placed into custody.

Officers recovered loose prescription pills in Blankenship’s pocket after a search. The arrest warrant was for failing to appear in court on previous charges of obstructing identification.
Morgan and Page were passengers, and officers saw a 5.56 rifle inside the vehicle.
During the car search, Joliet police also found a 9 mm gun.
Both guns were located where Morgan and Page were seated.
The rifle’s serial number appeared to have been defaced. Morgan and Page were placed into custody, and Blankenship's auto got towed away from Western Avenue.
Blankenship lives in downtown Joliet at the 22 East Clinton Street apartment high rise. Jail records listed Page as being a resident of Laurel, Mississippi.
