Trouble On West Jefferson Street, He Took Her Phone So She Could Not Call 911: Police Reveal
He initially refused to walk as officers escorted him to a squad car, according to Joliet police.

JOLIET, IL — The Joliet Police Department revealed that a 35-year-old resident of the community is now being kept in the Will County Jail following a domestic disturbance in the 1000 block of West Jefferson Street of all places.
According to police spokesman Dwayne English, at 2:38 p.m. on Wednesday, officers responded to an apartment in the 1000 block of West Jefferson Street for a domestic disturbance.
He said that Gustavo Rivera-Corado had allegedly stuck, choked, and kicked his ex-girlfriend while in the apartment. Officers also learned that Gustavo-Corado allegedly took the victim’s cell phone so she could not call 911.

Gustavo-Corado was placed into custody at the scene. English said that the defendant initially refused to walk as officers escorted him to a squad car. He was charged with aggravated domestic battery, domestic battery, resisting a peace officer and interference with reporting of domestic violence.
He was processed at the Joliet Police Department and transported to the Will County Adult
Detention Facility.
