U.S. Marshals Capture Joliet Police Criminal Defendant
Teveon Wallace, 26, was placed into custody by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force during Tuesday's noon hour, Joliet police announced.

JOLIET, IL — The U.S. Marshals captured 26-year-old Joliet resident Teveon Wallace, who had been wanted by the Joliet police in connection with an attack against his ex-girlfriend from two months ago.
Wallace was taken into custody during Tuesday's lunch hour. He's been delivered to the Will County Jail where he's charged with robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, two counts of domestic battery, unlawful restraint and interfering with the reporting of domestic violence.
Back on April 23, Joliet officers were sent to the 100 block of Fourth Avenue around 9:30 p.m. for a domestic disturbance. Wallace had beaten his ex-girlfriend, police noted.

"During an argument outside of the residence, Wallace pushed the victim to the ground and then attempted to pull her by her hair while she was still on the ground," police reports show. "Wallace then kicked and punched the victim multiple times."
After beating the woman, Wallace took her set of car keys and two cell phones and he drove off in the woman's vehicle, Joliet police noted. On April 24, Joliet police found the victim's vehicle in the 3800 block of Nantucket Drive, which is where Wallace lives.

On April 28, Joliet police got a warrant for the arrest of Wallace on five criminal charges.
At 12:17 p.m. on June 22, Wallace was taken into custody by the U.S. marshals fugitive task force.
