USF Student Sets World Record for Aztec Push-Ups

The feat was document last week when it took place at halftime during a school basketball game.

University of St. Francis junior Brandon Collofello set a new Guinness World Record when he did 31 Aztec push-ups in one minute, shattering the old record of 20.

Collofello needed a video of him doing the push-ups from two different angles, media clippings of the record being achieved and two witnesses — one of which has to be a public notary — in order to prove the legitimacy of his attempt, according to a story in the Joliet Herald News.

The record was achieved Wednesday during halftime in the USF Saints’ mens basketball game against Purdue-Calumet in Sullivan Recreation Center, the story said.
