Around 4:20 a.m., Joliet police were called to a dwelling in the 4300 block of Timber Ridge Court for a disturbance.

JOLIET, IL — A 51-year-old Joliet resident is now in the Will County Jail after Joliet police say James Caruth attacked a woman, choking her and punching her with closed fists.
Tuesday's attack happened around 4:20 a.m. in the 4300 block of Timber Ridge Court. Caruth was hauled away from the scene in handcuffs, charged with aggravated domestic battery.
"Caruth woke up after a night of drinking and grew angry with the victim," Joliet police spokesman Dwayne English announced. "Caruth struck the victim in the head multiple times with a closed fist."
