Victim Lands In St. Joe's Hospital, Plainfield Area Man Arrested: JPD

JOLIET, IL — A 40-year-old Plainfield area man who punched his victim in the face several times, putting him in St. Joe's hospital last August, is now in the Will County Jail facing felony charges of domestic battery, Joliet police arrest reports show.

Eric Inman was captured on Monday around 11:40 a.m.

On August 19, 2023, at 8:13 p.m., officers responded to a house in the 4400 block of Riverside Drive for a domestic disturbance.

Officers learned that during an argument, Inman punched another man multiple times in the face and then fled the area in a vehicle. The victim went to Ascension St Joseph Medical Center by a Joliet Fire Department ambulance for treatment of his injuries.

Officers could not find Inman at that time.

Meanwhile, Joliet police detectives investigating this case secured an arrest warrant for Inman on August 23, 2023.

Then on Monday night, Joliet police found him.

Inman was placed into custody without incident at the house in the 4400 block of Riverside Drive at 11:39 a.m., after information had been developed that Inman was at the residence, Joliet police advised.
