Wall Collapses At Bays Executive Centre In Downtown Joliet

JOLIET, IL — John Bays was dealing with an emergency on Thursday night as one of the concrete walls collapsed at the parking deck for the Bays Executive Centre in downtown Joliet on North Scott Street right next to St. Anthony's Catholic Church.
Joliet's Facebook Live reporter Bob Hernandez said two of his followers alerted him to the emergency around 8 p.m. He said Bays was on the scene by 9 p.m., along with several of his workers surveying the damage. Several Joliet police officers were also on the scene.
There were no reports of injuries, Joliet Fire Chief Greg Blaskey told Patch.

He said the parking deck next to the Chase Bank has been cordoned off, and the city's building department will assess the parking deck on Friday morning.
